PAPA JOE'S LAST RUN -- SEPT 29TH., 1961
PAPA JOE

My father ("Papa Joe") began railroading as a "call boy" with the Canadian Northern Railroad, (CNR).  As a young locmotive fireman, he worked on the "work trains" that built the railway liners to Grand and Victoria Beaches, and Churchill, Manitoba.  He was an enginer on the trains to Grand Beach and Victoria Beach in the 1940's.  He retired in 1961.
