GRAND BEACH is a beautiful 3 mile stretch of pure white silica sand, located on the eastern shore of lake Winnipeg. It is approximately 20 miles across the lake from another lovely beach and resort area at GIMLI, Manitoba, on the western shore of the lake.  On week-ends during the summer months of July and August, more than 50,000 people from Winnipeg and surrounding areas, visit this beach each day. They spread out along the three mile stretch of pure white sand extending from the main (west) beach to Lester Beach.
