THE MOONLIGHT ROUNDING THE BIG CURVE AT SCANTERBURY
The Moonlight (1917), on the BIG CURVE  at Scanterbury, Manitoba.  It left Winnipeg at 6:25 pm and arrived at Grand Beach at 8:00 pm.  While people danced in the pavilion on the beach front, the train turned around on the "WYE" at Grand Marais and backed into Grand Beach.  At 10:20 pm it began its return to Winnipeg, arriving at Union Station at exactly MIDNIGHT.  The return fare was FIFTY CENTS.  Street car fare home for a young couple was only 15 CENTS.
