PAPA JOE'S LAST RUN -- SEPT 29TH., 1961
PAPA JOE

My father ("Papa Joe") began railroading as a "call boy" with the Canadian Northern Railroad, (CNoR).  As a young locomotive fireman, he worked on the "work trains" that built the railway liners to Grand and Victoria Beaches, and Churchill, Manitoba.  He was a regular engineer on the trains to Grand Beach and Victoria Beach in the 1940's.  He retired in 1961.
